1. Purpose

This Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Policy ("CSAE Policy") explains ZedWed's ("Platform," "App," "we," "our," or "us") zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, grooming, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in connection with the Services.

The purpose of this Policy is to:

  • prohibit any use of the Platform that facilitates, promotes, depicts, supports, or conceals child sexual abuse or exploitation;
  • describe how we may prevent, detect, investigate, report, and respond to CSAE-related risk;
  • reinforce that the Platform is intended only for adults aged 18 years and older; and
  • support compliance with applicable law, child-protection expectations, and safety obligations.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, Security Policy, Data Retention and Deletion Policy, and other applicable platform policies.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • all users of the Platform, including members, subscribers, applicants, and guests where applicable;
  • all employees, contractors, moderators, reviewers, service providers, and affiliates involved in operating, securing, or reviewing the Platform;
  • all content, communications, profile information, verification submissions, reports, complaints, logs, and related activity transmitted, stored, processed, or facilitated through the Platform; and
  • all suspected or confirmed CSAE-related conduct connected to the Platform or its services.

3. Legal and Safety Framework

This Policy is informed by applicable child-protection, cybercrime, criminal, privacy, and platform-safety obligations, including relevant Zambian law and other legal or regulatory requirements where applicable.

Nothing in this Policy limits our ability to take stronger action where necessary to protect users, preserve evidence, support lawful investigations, or comply with legal obligations.

4. Definitions

For the purposes of this Policy:

  • Child means any person under the age of 18 years.
  • Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) includes sexual activity involving a child, grooming, sexual solicitation of a child, sexual exploitation, exposure of a child to sexual content, or related abuse.
  • Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) includes using, coercing, manipulating, recruiting, deceiving, or exploiting a child for sexual purposes or sexual benefit, including through digital or online means.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) includes any image, video, audio, text, digital file, link, or other material that depicts, promotes, facilitates, or is associated with the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.
  • Grooming includes manipulative, deceptive, exploitative, or coercive behavior intended to build trust with a child or with someone perceived to be a child for sexual purposes.

5. Zero-Tolerance Rules

The Platform strictly prohibits:

  • any content, communication, image, video, audio, link, or material involving child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, or CSAM;
  • any attempt to groom, solicit, manipulate, exploit, sexually communicate with, or otherwise target a child through or in connection with the Platform;
  • any attempt to use the Platform to arrange, facilitate, conceal, promote, profit from, or support CSAE-related conduct;
  • any attempt to upload, store, transmit, request, trade, link to, search for, advertise, or distribute CSAM; and
  • any evasion, concealment, or misuse intended to bypass our safety, moderation, age, reporting, or enforcement controls in connection with child-exploitation risk.

Any suspected or confirmed violation may result in immediate content removal, account restriction, suspension, permanent termination, evidence preservation, and reporting to competent authorities or trusted reporting channels where appropriate or required by law.

6. Adults-Only Platform and Age-Related Controls

The Platform is intended only for individuals aged 18 years and older.

We may use age-related, identity-related, verification-related, liveness-related, fraud-prevention, or other safety controls to help reduce the risk of underage access or misrepresentation. However, we do not guarantee that every minor, false identity, deceptive profile, or age misrepresentation will be detected.

If we reasonably suspect that an account belongs to, is operated by, or is being used to facilitate contact with a minor, we may restrict, investigate, suspend, or terminate that account and take any additional action reasonably necessary for safety, evidence preservation, or legal compliance.

7. Detection, Monitoring, and Review

To help reduce CSAE-related risk, we may use a combination of safety measures such as:

  • user reports and support escalations;
  • automated tools, filtering systems, technical signals, or safety-detection mechanisms;
  • human moderation or internal review;
  • verification-related controls and account-review workflows; and
  • logging, evidence preservation, and fraud or abuse detection processes.

We do not state in this Policy that all content, communications, or user activity is monitored in every case or that all prohibited material or conduct will always be detected.

8. Reporting and Escalation

Users, staff, contractors, and service providers should report suspected CSAE, grooming, exploitative conduct, or CSAM immediately through available reporting features or by contacting **help@zedwed.ai**.

Reports may be prioritized and escalated urgently where they involve child-safety risk, suspected criminal conduct, ongoing harm, repeat abuse, or evidentiary concerns.

We may request further information where reasonably necessary, but urgent safety action may be taken with or without waiting for complete user submissions.

9. Investigation, Evidence Preservation, and Cooperation

Where CSAE-related risk is suspected, we may investigate, restrict access, remove content, preserve records, retain relevant logs or account data, and take other safety or legal steps reasonably necessary to protect users and support lawful handling.

We may cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, child-protection bodies, reporting hotlines, platform-safety partners, or other competent authorities where required by law, reasonably necessary for safety, or appropriate to respond to suspected CSAE-related conduct.

Any disclosure, preservation, or reporting activity will be handled subject to applicable law, legal process, safety considerations, and platform obligations.

10. Staff, Moderator, and Affiliate Responsibilities

Employees, contractors, moderators, reviewers, and relevant service providers must handle CSAE-related concerns with urgency, confidentiality, and care.

We may maintain internal procedures, escalation routes, access restrictions, and awareness or training measures to support recognition, handling, escalation, and lawful reporting of CSAE-related risk.

Any staff, contractor, or affiliate misconduct involving CSAE-related activity, concealment, facilitation, or failure to comply with required safeguarding steps may result in disciplinary, contractual, legal, or other enforcement action.

11. User Safety Guidance

Users should not use the Platform to interact with minors, seek age-inappropriate contact, or ignore warning signs of grooming, coercion, or exploitative behavior.

Users are encouraged to report suspicious accounts, deceptive age claims, exploitative messaging, or other safety concerns promptly.

12. Privacy and Data Handling in CSAE Matters

Where CSAE-related reports, investigations, or legal requests arise, we may process, preserve, review, and disclose relevant information in accordance with applicable law, our Privacy Policy, our Security Policy, our Data Retention and Deletion Policy, and our legal or safety obligations.

This may include lawful preservation or disclosure of content, messages, logs, verification-related records, account data, or other relevant materials where necessary.

13. Enforcement and Sanctions

Violations of this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions, at our discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • immediate removal or restriction of content;
  • account review or verification escalation;
  • temporary suspension or feature restriction;
  • permanent account termination or ban;
  • preservation of records and evidence;
  • reporting to law enforcement, regulators, child-protection bodies, or competent reporting channels; and
  • internal disciplinary or contractual action in the case of staff, contractors, or affiliates.

14. Policy Review and Updates

We may review and update this Policy from time to time to reflect legal changes, platform developments, safety expectations, or operational learning.

Where appropriate, we may notify users of material changes through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means.
