1. Purpose and Scope

This Copyright and Trademark Policy explains how ZedWed ("Platform," "App," "we," "our," or "us") addresses copyright, trademarks, trade dress, brand assets, and related intellectual property concerns in connection with the Services.

This Policy is intended to:

• protect the intellectual property rights of ZedWed, its licensors, users, and third parties;
• explain the standards that apply to user-submitted content and platform materials;
• provide a process for reporting alleged infringement or misuse; and
• describe how we may respond to infringement claims, repeated abuse, or trademark misuse.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, End User License Agreement (EULA), Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and other applicable platform policies. Where content-license or service-use issues overlap, the Terms of Service will generally govern unless this Policy expressly states otherwise.

2. Ownership of Content and Platform Materials

a) User Content

Users generally retain ownership of original content they lawfully create and submit to the Platform, such as profile photos, bios, messages, and other user-generated materials.

However, users remain solely responsible for ensuring that they have all rights, permissions, licenses, and authority necessary to upload, post, share, or otherwise use that content through the Platform.

Any rights granted by users to ZedWed in relation to user content are governed primarily by the Terms of Service and related platform policies.

b) Platform Content

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform and its protected materials, including software, code, databases, text, designs, layouts, graphics, logos, icons, trademarks, interface elements, workflows, documentation, brand materials, and platform-generated content, remain the property of ZedWed or its licensors.

Except as expressly permitted by us in writing, users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, publicly display, resell, or otherwise exploit Platform content or protected materials.

3. Prohibited Intellectual Property Misuse

You must not:

• upload, post, distribute, or share content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, trade dress, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights;
• reproduce, scrape, harvest, download, capture, or redistribute user profiles, user photos, messages, or other platform materials without authorization;
• copy, imitate, or reuse substantial portions of the Platform's branding, layout, trade dress, design language, creative assets, or interface elements in a misleading or unauthorized manner;
• remove, alter, hide, or obscure copyright, trademark, attribution, or proprietary notices;
• use ZedWed's name, logo, slogans, brand assets, or confusingly similar variations in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or authorization where none exists;
• register or use misleading domain names, app names, business names, ad creatives, social media handles, or marketplace listings that imitate or trade on ZedWed's brand; or
• use the Platform as part of an unauthorized content-copying, impersonation, or infringement scheme.

4. Reporting Copyright or Trademark Concerns

If you believe that content or branding on the Platform infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a written report to us.

To help us assess the complaint efficiently, your notice should include, where applicable:

1. your full name and contact information;
2. identification of the copyrighted work, trademark, or other protected right you believe has been infringed;
3. a description of the allegedly infringing material and its exact location on the Platform, including URLs, screenshots, usernames, or other identifying details where available;
4. a statement explaining the basis of your claim and why you believe the use is unauthorized;
5. a statement that the information you have provided is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on the rights holder's behalf; and
6. your physical or electronic signature or equivalent confirmation.

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to assess, process, or verify a complaint.

5. Platform Response to Infringement Reports

After receiving a complaint, we may take any action we reasonably consider appropriate, including:

• reviewing the report and any available evidence;
• requesting further information from the complainant or the affected user;
• removing, disabling, restricting, or preserving access to the challenged content;
• notifying the user associated with the content where appropriate;
• restricting account features or access pending review;
• preserving records or evidence relevant to the complaint; and
• taking enforcement action under this Policy, the Terms of Service, or applicable law.

We are not required to remove content automatically upon receipt of every complaint, and we may decline to act where a complaint is incomplete, unsupported, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise inadequate.

6. Counter-Notice and Disputed Removals

If your content was removed or restricted and you believe that action was taken in error, you may submit a response or counter-notice with information reasonably supporting your position.

A counter-notice should include, where applicable:

1. your name and contact information;
2. identification of the content that was removed or restricted and its prior location, if known;
3. a statement explaining why you believe the action was based on mistake, misidentification, authorization, ownership, license, fair use, or another valid basis; and
4. your physical or electronic signature or equivalent confirmation.

Submission of a counter-notice does not guarantee restoration of content. We may restore, continue restricting, or permanently remove content at our discretion, subject to applicable law, evidentiary considerations, user safety, platform integrity, and legal risk.

7. Repeat Infringement and Abuse of Rights

We may issue warnings, remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe intellectual property rights or misuse the Platform in a way that creates repeated IP-related risk.

We may also reject or take action regarding complaints, counter-notices, or related submissions that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, abusive, misleading, submitted in bad faith, or used as a tool of harassment, retaliation, censorship, or competitive abuse.

8. Trademark and Brand Protection

ZedWed's names, logos, marks, slogans, trade dress, and other brand identifiers may be registered or unregistered trademarks or protected branding elements.

Unauthorized use of ZedWed's trademarks or confusingly similar branding is prohibited. This includes use that:

• misleads users about affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, approval, or endorsement;
• imitates our brand in social media, websites, apps, advertisements, or communications;
• creates confusion in the marketplace or among users; or
• dilutes, tarnishes, or improperly trades on the reputation of the Platform.

Permitted References

You may make fair and accurate factual references to ZedWed where lawful and not misleading, such as ordinary nominative references that do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Any broader commercial, promotional, branded, or representational use requires our prior written permission.

9. Trade Dress and Platform Appearance

The Platform's overall look and feel, including certain layouts, visual identity elements, icons, graphics, color treatments, and interface design choices, may be protected by applicable intellectual property, unfair-competition, or related laws.

You must not copy or imitate the Platform's distinctive presentation in a manner that is misleading, confusing, unauthorized, or harmful to our brand or users.

10. Legal Exceptions and User Responsibility

We recognize that applicable law may provide exceptions or defenses in certain situations, such as lawful quotation, commentary, criticism, education, news reporting, or other recognized legal exceptions.

However, users remain solely responsible for ensuring that any reliance on such exceptions is lawful and justified. The Platform is not responsible for providing legal advice or guaranteeing that a user's reliance on an exception is valid.

11. Enforcement and Remedies

Where reasonably necessary, we may enforce this Policy through content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, account suspension, account termination, evidence preservation, legal demands, cooperation with lawful investigations, or other appropriate steps permitted by law.

Nothing in this Policy limits any legal rights or remedies available to ZedWed, its licensors, users, or third-party rights holders under contract, statute, common law, or other applicable legal principles.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, platform operations, intellectual property practices, enforcement needs, or risk management. Where appropriate, we may notify users of material changes through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Policy, subject to applicable law.
